Richard Cravens is the seventh child and first son born to the union of Fred Craven and Millie Fagan Craven.He married Doretha Smith Cravens. Richard and Doretha had six children – five (5) sons: Llatz Barber, Howard Cravens, Sr. (1948), Dwight Allen, Donnell Cravens (1954), and Gary cravens (1955) and one (1) daughter: Brenda Cravens Fisher (1954).

Richard was drafted by the US Army, but enlisted with Marines. He also organized one of the first competitive youth softball teams in Jonesville, LA.

Interesting Fact: Richard Cravens added the “s” to Craven because he informed family members “we are more than one, the “s” makes our name plural.”

Lltaz Barber: Lltaz “LT” Barber is the eldest child born to Richard Cravens. He married Betty Barber and together they live in Flint, MI. Within this union they had one son, Lewis Barber. LT was former military police and served with the Airforce.

Howard Cravens, Sr (2/22/1948): Married to Mable (Hatten) Cravens. Together they live in Jonesville, LA. Howard has six children: three sons – Roderick Cravens (1967), Howard Cravens, Jr (1972), Kaneen Sanchez Cravens (1990) and three daughters – Arrisca Cravens Harbor (1968), Ramona Cravens (1970) and Tameka Bullitts Hart (1977).

Dwight Allen: He lives in West Palm Beach, Fl with his wife Linda Allen. Within this union they have two children – one son, Austin Allen, and one daughter, Ashley Allen.

Donnell Cravens: He lives in West Bloomfield Township, MI and married Eugenie “Genie” Cravens. Within this union they have three children – two sons, Shamar Herron (1978) and Donnell E. Cravens (1987), and one daughter, erica Cravens (1982). Donnell has obtained an advanced degree in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from Central Michigan. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Brenda Cravens Fisher (7/291954): She is a very active member of Ackland Creed Baptist Church and within her commnity. She is an Rn and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is married to Howard Fisher, Jr. Within this union they have four sons – Howard Fisher, III (1976), Victor Fisher (1982), Jarvis Fisher (1985), and Patrick Fisher (1992).

Gary Cravens (09/17/1955): CEO of Iconic Moments in Sports and specializes in Business Management. He is a Grambling State University fanatic. He is married to Luvenia (McCrea) Cravens and they live in Houston, Tx. Within this union they have two daughters – Angelita Cravens (1975) and Krystle Cravens (1988).
