Aisha Jamila McClendon is the only child born to Cora and James McClendon. Aisha currently resides in Garland, Tx close to her childhood home. Aisha is entrinched in the world of politics and election campaigining. She has served in leadership positions for Clinton, Beto and several key political figures.

Aisha graduated from Bishop Lynch High School (Dallas, Tx) and went on to graduate from Dillard University with an English major. Shortly after graduation Aisha transitioned into the world of politics under the guise of William Jefferson (Louisiana, House of Representatives). Aisha has excelled to a series of high profile positions that have engaged and influenced politics.

Beyond her employment, Aisha has continued to prioritize family. Aisha co-hosted our most recent formal family reunion in 2004 and has sponsored multiple family events at her home in an effort to keep family connected. Aisha has also become a family historian as she remains connected to multiple family members IRL and has established relationships and contacts that she effortlessly manages and maintains.

Aisha and her mother, Cora McClendon, are currently caring for our eldest living relative, Essie Thomas Martin and will be hosting our upcoming family gathering on January 14, 2023.
