Aquilla Collins is the first child born to Anthony and Beulah Collins. Aquilla diagnosed with sickle cell disease. Aquilla received medical care in New Orleans. While Beulah was carrying Jeron and Aquilla required treatment, Anthony would take her for her medical care. One day the nurse commented “the people that he was living with were very nice because they were combing his daughter’s hair.” He replied “Thank you very much they are very nice but I do my daughter’s hair.” Beulah often said that he was also able to tie a good bow in her hair. Aquilla succumbed to sickle cell at the age of three.
